Pixel 8 pro pre order

Hi all have the pixel 8 pro on pre order it's due to be released tomorrow but on my tracking it still says awaiting delivery date confirmation. Has anyone elses tracker updated or will it just be delivered tomorrow?

I was promised a release day/12 October delivery (Obsidian, 256GB, ordered on launch day), but upon calling customer service today all they can see is that it has been picked from the warehouse but not yet despatched. Given that I have some time constraints here, I asked if I could pick up in a local store instead today, and there's no stock of this model anywhere near me. Really hoping DPD get to me early tomorrow, but not even EE customer service seem to be able to do anything until DPD generate a tracking number. Hugely disappointed in how badly EE has messed up the preorder this year; last year's PIxel 7 Pro order arrived on launch day as promised.

I should have noticed this was about the Pro, I have the regular 8 on order. Don't know if the Pro is in the same boat. I've seen conflicting things on the Web about it today

Both my phones (a 128G and a 256G both bay) just arrived. Still no emails from EE, all I got was a DPD text this morning with a delivery slot. I have had numerous confusing texts from EE about services for my other phone being cancelled, but nothing at all from them in any format about the new devices.

So keep the faith, you may still get a 256G bay today.

The communication on this, like the EE app is almost bad enough to force me to leave, but I've got 4 phones on EE so it's such a ballache to move and they know they have you because of the network coverage.

They really need to seriously up their game though, they are creaming profits, have an app not fit for purpose, leave you on hold for an hour whenever you ring them and any order just causes stress and anxiety with zero communication.

No multinational corporation should treat their customers like this.

Mines just turned up no notice from EE or DPD

Wish that had been the case - but it hasn't. 

Tracking with the order number in the confirmation email hasn't worked. Had no text or email from DPD. DPD app didn't show any active packages... as others have mentioned, it's been a tad shambolic in terms of getting updates! Hope you take this feedback for the next major device launch and smooth this out - it's a terrible customer experience/journey. 

What a joke. No notification, no tracking number, EE website showing it's not dispatched yet. But I just got CCTV notification that DPD courier showed up. Of course I wasn't at home because of no notice from EE or DPD. I'll file a complaint with EE now as this is just not acceptable. I'm wondering now how I can get my phone in my hands today without even knowing the tracking number.

My guess is you wont get it today now, they will attempt redelivery tomorrow

I called EE this morning as I have no tracking information for a Pixel 8 Pro 256GB in black that I pre ordered. The website stated due for delivery on release day but the lady at EE told me that there aren't even any in their warehouse yet and it was a 28 day wait. 🤷

My 128GB Bay 8 Pro just arrived. No tracking, no text, no updated plan in the app. Fingers crossed everyone!

Same as others, my 8 Pro 256gb black just turned up at my house about an hour ago.  I placed my order through upgrades on the 9th Oct so definitely not one of the first to get my order in.

No texts or emails from EE or DPD at all.  DPD guy just knocked on the door.

EE order tracking still says Awaiting Confirmation.

No watch though, just the phone.  Wonder when that's coming.

BTW, it's an absolutely gorgeous phone!  Coming from a 6 Pro it's like going from economy to first class, worth the wait and frustration.
