Re: Lost all my passwords!

Hi there

I've recently also lost our new Mobile EE WiFi password. I have read your instructions to this person, but would like to understand how resetting the device will give me a new password? Do I not need to set one up somewhere? Many Thanks Dené

@dvdheever : Resetting your device will take it back to factory settings with the pwds that you'll find on the labels on it.

Hi there, what labels are you talking about? Thanks!Sent from my Galaxy

Labels stuck on bottom of device usually or under the battery cover, if there is 1. Alternatively, it may have come with a KeepMe card with pwds on.

Aah thank you so much! Was so excited to find the password on the back of the cover, but it doesn't work. 🙈Sent from my Galaxy

Hi @dvdheever,

If the password has been changed, you'll need to complete a factory reset as described above, to switch back to the default password.

James

I haven't changed the password. Wouldn't know how.Sent from my Galaxy

@dvdheever : Where or for what are you using the pwd you found under the battery cover?

Hi @dvdheever,

If you haven't changed the password, the default password should still work.

Are you entering the password exactly as it is printed? (It's case sensitive)

James

Hi JamesYou might have missed my first text. So we lost the box the modem came in with the password. So we don't know the password. So I thought the password someone told me to retrieve on the cover would be the same?Sent from my Galaxy
