The only workable signal I can get in Rural Suffolk is by EE
I only use my mobile for (Emergency) calls and text - no data required
There was similar question on the Community Page back in 2020 which said you could order a Free sim with no Pack
Before topping up Text STOP PACK to 150 if no data package is required
Is this instruction still current ?

Hi @bures1
Thanks for coming to the community about this.
I hope you're well and having a nice day, are you up to much?
Yes this should work if you don't want a pack and only want credit to use when you see fit.
You can order a pay as you go SIM on our Pay As You Go SIM Card page.
Thanks
Chris

@bures1 No, if you don't have a pack then the credit you have on will stay on until you've used it.
Thanks

Yes, my statement still holds.
To save the SIM going into hibernation due to lack of use, just remember within every 179 days (~ 6 months) to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from any Pack or Add-on you might have.

Hi @bures1,
If you have cancelled your pack, you can just top up your account and pay for calls and texts as you use them.
For help with topping up please see How can I top up my phone?
Hope this helps. 🙂
James
