Hi is anyone else getting messages supposed to be from EE  saying they've got thousands of rewards points that's going to be  lost in 2 days if they dont  click on the link to spend them?

Has been reported but naturally no response yet.

@KramEkosum  and you’ll not get any response from reporting a potential scam.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@KramEkosum  all you can do is report a scam.   And the claim of it being an inside job is a very bold claim especially when you have no basis behind that claim.

There are people receiving these who are not with EE and yet it still is about EE, that alone says it’s not an inside job and just some scum trying to get lucky with these messages.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thank you. The fact that it is occurring outside of EE does not materially prove that there is no 'inside' involvement. Criminality is far more sophisticated than that; and I know some people who have worked on both sides of the fence... You have no idea how bold I am, and certainly cannot second guess what knowledge basis I have!

Of course, the recent advances in AI mean that scamming is very clever and realistic. However, the replication of the graphics and user interface is so good that it was either copied and AI generated or was used directly by a highly skilled employee/ former employee.

What do I do if I've clicked on this

This has also happened to me. Because it came through with the other texts I clicked on. I have had to call my bank and order a new card. EE you are responsible for this and need to update your security and tell customers that this will happen when they purchase your products. You have a duty of care to your customers
