Hi is anyone else getting messages supposed to be from EE  saying they've got thousands of rewards points that's going to be  lost in 2 days if they dont  click on the link to spend them?

Thanks for the reply unfortunately now-a-days you have to be switched on and second guess everything as there are so many more scams about and scammers are getting more and more determined and that's a scary thought. I've also added a comment on the website (who called me) just to make others aware. Anyway thanks again for the reply.

Spam/Fraud numbers need to be reported to Action Fraud so that they can be investigated by the police.

One hundred percent agree with you if more people reported these things the better

Thanks for the reply

Just received the same nonsense from another faux EE mobile number - 07342 511033.

It seemed totally legit and they already had my number. The link looked completely kosher with perfect graphics so there would be no reason to suspect it to be fake. In fact, the give away was the absurdity of suggesting that 5000+ points had been accumulated out of nowhere with only 3 days to claim them. Sadly, I nearly went through with it as was distracted and tired after a long fortnight (some of which without a phone).

This sounds like an inside job from EE employees or former disgruntled employees of EE. It is highly fraudulent and very dangerous. WTH is being done about this? Some people will have their identities stolen and be seriously ripped off.

Most definitely, wish I was still into computer's like I used to be. It's a
pity we didn't have geek's to scam the scammers and get something going.
Stay safe everyone and be careful

Got one today.

Thing is I recently signed up for rewards, so I thought it was genuine. Until I looked closer at the link in message. Can't get away from the scammers!!

I've had that one today and I'm normally good at detecting scams but I fell for this one. It was very good and looked genuinely from ee. Luckily they only got my name and address because I use a one time card by revolt. I'm sure my data is already out there somewhere anyway. I just hope it's not hacked my phone by clciking on the link.

That's the phishing scam that got my data.

Just received the point message. I came straight on here to check it was a scam.

Doesn't sound professional

Have you reported this?
