Hi all

Please note, that this is 100% a scam. Please don't click any links, or share your bank details.

We do have something on our Help pages for this.

Please check it out at https://ee.co.uk/help/cyber-security/getting-started/ee-points-program-scam.

Thanks

Why is it so difficult to report scam numbers to EE? Also, why am I receiving scam texts through EE, are they not filtered?
Scam number 07845 884626
Redemption Tips: The remaining 5340 points in your account will expire within three working days. Click https :// lke.buzz/EEUK to redeem products.

link spaced out to avoid an accidental click.

Report it to your network provider by texting CALL followed by calling no. to 7726 (S.P.A.M. on your keypad).

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up => 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB => 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB => 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU => 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU => 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC => 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC => 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC => 2022: EE 80 Meg FTTC (no landline number)

@pantsmoustache   How can EE filter check a text as that be a breach of privacy as EE would have to check all texts.

  Not only can you report scam calls as mentioned by @XRaySpeX   You can also forward the texts to 7726 and then the number when prompted.

And the 7726 number is the same number for all networks to report scams too.    So not sure why you think it’s hard to report a scam as a Google search would have gave you this number.

just received the following text from 07519 212022; " EE: The points currently in your account (5340 points) will expire within three working days, please click the link below to redeem the rewards in time! <link removed>  Is this a scam?

Same. I stupidity clicked on the link. Changed passwords etc but, I don't know if it was legit or not. Reported it anyways, so who knows...

Yeah this is ridiculous, spam messages only come up as possible scam, they still appear, I can't fully block them, I almost clicked this message - (exactly the same as yours) if its deemed as scam why are we still getting them, I have the royal mail ones almost daily, no way to fully block them from appearing, if I didn't have my wits about me then I'd have been in a whole load of trouble, EE sort this mess out
