Got a call of this number 01914290925 saying they were EE trying to sell me broadband,  they knew what contract I had and sent me a code that came from ee. Is it a scam?

Hi, a mobile number 07737 672750 called me claiming to be from EE saying they can reduce my bill. They asked what my last bill amount was and for my email address (I didn’t provide either). Was this genuine?
