Scam calls

Multiple scam calls received offering discount stating I am due for an upgrade and I can halve the bill I have just signed up to - also whatsapps received with various spelling mistakes pretending to be EE. Numbers 02078666605, 02078666649, 02076637357 mobile: 07483961600. I have seen a number of similar scams. Has there been a leak of data?

I received similar calls today. I immediately found out that it is a scam when I received an email that my account password got changed!

Hi @Nearph

Thanks for coming to the community.

Did you provide the caller any personal information?

Have you been able to reset your password?

@mmarino88938  EE don’t use WhatsApp so that’s a red flag there.   And it’s WhatsApp where anyone can message you.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I did change the password immediately when I saw that my account's password got changed by them. Clever that they call people past 17:00 thinking people are in the tube or traveling. One thing is that I my number got leaked along with the email now by these scammers.
