no internet service on my home region

I've been a new client for a month. I live in Handflord Manchester. I suffer from no internet access with mobile or mobile board band wifi. For a few days without services, I needed to drive to the Cheadle car park to do my business.

Resolved! Text from EE saying welcome back.

I had a text showing me how to use roaming while I am in Jersey. Then a few 'welcome back' messages. I haven't been anywhere! Anyone know why this would happen and does it have any implications?
