Im flying to New York today. What do I have to do in order to send texts or make calls?

Hello!I upgraded my contract to a cheaper contract, less data, but unlimited calls etc. Since doing this my phone won’t accept calls and I can’t dial out? It just beeps and disconnects. Help please!

If you call my phone. The voice Mail says it’s under maintenance. How do I fix this?
