I am unable to receive calls from all networks including EE - what is going on? Tried to call customer service tech support which had a voicemail left only stating calls from Vodafone networks unable to come through then cuts off. I have been awaiting an important call all day and now understand why I was not receiving anything. I do not think it is acceptable to have this as a resolution/ reassurance to customers extremely disappointed and frustrated. Can someone please tell me what is going on

Have you restarted your phone?
What happens when someone calls you?
Sorry we have no account access on the community, you can find ways to contact us from another phone on the Contact us about your mobile phone (ee.co.uk) page.

Yes i restarted my phone when I saw your message saying it was resolved.
When someone calls me it just either beeps and cuts off, or it says you have dialled an incorrect number.
I don’t have time to wait on hold again for 30 mins with no response, or to request a technician call me to receive a text saying they can’t get through. There must be a way you can help me?

I live in Tayside. Same problem last night, I could call out to some numbers, but not receive. Except on one occasion when someone used whatsApp. Texts also got through. Aparrently there was a mast fault my friend told me. All working now since this morning.

I think that it would be best in future posts that people add their location. This would allow us all to know if it is a local or national problem with the network. Rather than getting stressed out resetting phones etc. It just goes to show how important landlines are in case of emergencies.

2 things spring to mind. 1 EE should have been more on the ball with information and communication.
2 when you go fibre (2025 for the whole country so media claim) how will you use your home phone in an emergency if you have a power cut?

Hi @kcurrie65,
With digital home phones you can stay connected in the event of a power cut using the battery backup unit.
Please see Set up your Digital Home Phone for more details.

Thanks James it's all new to me our village will like the EE signal will.be at the end of the line for both. My local radio station this evening claims that when a power cut happens you can't make a call as the router will have no power ?

Hi @kcurrie65,
Our Smart Hubs are compatible with battery back up units to power them during a power cut.
