Gifting Data when Abroad

Hi, in the UK I am able to gift data between my accounts. I am currently abroad and am trying to gift data between two of my accounts both of which are in the UK (I'm not) and don't seem to be able to through either the app or logging in.  Any ideas?...

I’m on holiday and I purchased additional data however I didn’t even get to use it and I received a text saying this has all been used?
