5G Smart Hub & Web UI not working

Frank5272

I have a EE 5G Hub, it's not on contract but I've been using a EE contract sim in it for a year or more (taking the sim out of my work phone out of hours) but I've just had a new phone & was sent a replacement sim with it & the old sim was deactivated but the replacement sim isn't working in the router & when I try to go to the Web UI  http://192.168.1.1 it says the connection timed out & the site can't be reached. I found another suggested link http://192.168.1.254 but that done the same.

Is there a different link to get to the Web UI now?

http://192.168.1.254 is for fixed EE Home BB routers. Most if not all EE mobile routers use http://192.168.1.1 .

Anyway if it worked before with the old SIM it'll be the same with a diff SIM. This Gateway IP is a property of the router not the SIM. Also it will be written on a label on router or on a Keep-Me card. Try Factory Resetting it.

Hi @Frank5272

Welcome to the EE Community

The Administrator page address is defined by the router, rather than the SIM card/ internet connection, so should still work the same as before.

You can find more information at Manage your EE Hub

Have you tried factory resetting the hub?

Ali

The http://192.168.1.1 just doesn't work for me.

I have done a factory reset but I still have 2 middle red lights

It should work as before but it's not, I still have 2 middle red lights on the router & the administration/Web ui link on the label of http://192.168.1.1 won't work

@Frank5272  Just to check does the sim work in the phone ok ?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Yeah it's fine in the phone.
