How does one talk with customer services without a phone

CuriousMonkey

I would like to have a conversation about leaving EE and porting my number.

My IP68 rated phone that I was sold, and the replacement screen repair service that I was told both had warranty, have failed and i have been left without a phone.

I called from work earlier and was told i would need to pay an early upgrade fee and almost double my current monthly charge for a new handset, therefore I am very much in favour of leaving for a company that might honour their warranty and marketing claims, and also charge me much less for the same device.

Any ideas if there is a web chat feature or do i just send my notice in writing via email?

How far into your minimum term are you? When was your last repair carried out?

And have you tried to use EE's in-store repair service with the option of a loan phone?

@CuriousMonkey  There is no email address you can use.  To terminate a contract that’s still within a contract term you have to call as you have to be told how much you’ll have to pay to pay off the remaining term of that contract.   It’s basically cost you pay per month times number of months left in your term minus 4%

To upgrade before your upgrade period you only have to have a contract that more costly than you have now, it’s not double what you pay now.

No phone has a warranty on IP rating and any repairs break that IP rating as it’s can not be guaranteed that the IP rating is still valid .  It might have an IP rating but water damage isn’t covered by warranty even if it’s brand new just out of the box.    Crazy I know but that’s how it is.     The warranty was only if the screen has an issue ie it fails not through water damage through.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
18 months in to a 24 month.

Not sure on the repair, maybe Oct / Nov last year.

I havent as i had to be in the office today, and after the quotes i had
about the upgrade I dont fancy giving them any additional cash out of
pocket right now. But that may be the way i have to go
