Hey, I have just set up my new EE broadband but to make use of my full set up I need to log in, 192.168.1.254 opens the page with the EE logo and a “spinning wheel” and nothing happens, the page won’t actually open to let me log into admin settings

It did on the last router I had, I put the Netgear router on access point mode and turned the wifi connectivity off of the Sky router and never had an issue with a double NAT after that.

@BradH11 : Ah, using the Netgear just as an AP will not result in double NAT.

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Just out of curiosity, and because I never actually did it as a test because since it worked I didn’t need to change it again; with the previous setup, was it actually necessary to turn the WiFi connectivity off on the Sky router when in AP mode to fix that issue or would AP mode alone been sufficient enough? (Obviously if you don’t know that is fine)

Using AP mode is sufficient to avoid double NATs cuz the only NAT around is that of the main router.
