Hey, I have just set up my new EE broadband but to make use of my full set up I need to log in, 192.168.1.254 opens the page with the EE logo and a “spinning wheel” and nothing happens, the page won’t actually open to let me log into admin settings

Keep refreshing it.
You sure your device is connected to the router?

Yes mate, 100% sure I am connected to the router, I shall spam the refresh for a little and see if that works, I figured could it because the fttc line has only been installed today, but the more I research the more 192.168.1.254 seems to be an issue to actually log in for some people, I’ll try refreshing for a while if not I think I’ll have to call EE CS

Never found http://192.168.1.254 an issue after refreshing once or twice.

I’m going to risk looking stupid here,
I am trying to log in on my iPhone, my netgear r7000 and my old Sky router never had an issue logging in on my phone, so could this be as simple as it doesn’t like me trying to open it on my phone?

Good morning @BradH11.
Welcome to the EE Community!
There's a chance it may not like your current browser settings, so it' definitely worth giving this a test from a different device or browser.
I can see you've mentioned a Netgear router as well; is this plugged into the EE router, connected directly to your Openreach modem (ONT), or are you not using this at the moment?

@BradH11 : Doubt it! You should be able to login to the router from a phone as long as you are not logged in from another device at the time.

Good morning, Peter.
I haven’t set this up yet as I just wanted to test the new modem on its own, so I haven’t actually set that up as of yet, everything will be in series, so the broadband cable will be plugged into the EE modem and a Ethernet from the EE modem will be plugged into the netgear router, I want to turn the WiFi connection off of the EE modem so I’m not getting interfering signals and double NAT type problems on my Xbox, I did come to a conclusion though, 192.168.1.254 does not load on my iPhone, I tried it on my brothers PC which I have very limited access to and it worked, so I think it is something to do with the admin page not being compatible with smartphone browsers
thank you
Bradley

Good morning! I forgot to update you on what I found, I kept refreshing the page like you suggested, I got bored and decided to test my theory, I asked my brother if I could use his PC and I searched 192.168.1.254 and it surprisingly let me log in, I’m going to attempt it again on my phone tonight after work, but it looks like the page for the admin settings isn’t compatible with smartphone browsers, if it is just iPhone or all of them I don’t actually know, I’ll update on the test later today and see if it is as I suspect or not, thanks for attempting to help and I appreciate it especially since this is a very old thread, I just didn’t know who to turn to really! So I greatly appreciate it!

@BradH11 : Turning WiFi off on the EE ROUTER (it's not just a modem) will not prevent a double NAT when you are running 2 routers in series.
