I am having trouble connecting to any 4g/internet connection without wifi, I have data and 4G but as soon as I leave the house it immediately goes down to one bar and always says "connecting" (never connecting) 

Any tips/tricks on how I can resolve it with out getting an upgrade ? Its an Iphone 7plus

Have you checked that mobile data is enabled on your device?

 

Does restarting your phone have any impact?

Yeah, my data is enabled and I've restarted it and took the sim out but there's no change. A colleague of mine thinks I may need a new sim.

Is there anything else you think I could do to improve it?

Can you try the SIM card in another phone to see if the same happens?

Is the same problem of one bar and no data connection seen in all locations outside the house?

 

For example, at the supermarket, in the town centre, and at a place of work?

Hi again, 

 

I received a new SIM card but am unable to activate it because The lack of signal is preventing me from getting my 6 digit pin. I can’t even phone 150, it just says call failed. 🤷‍♀️
