Live chat not working, want to leave EE.

When I use the live chat and it asks for my phone number it says "sorry could not find anything for that". Then it resets the conversation. I don't remember the live chat being that bad. I would like to leave EE after my pay monthly sim contract ends in a couple of weeks. Is there a way I can use live chat or will I have to call them?

@gemz89  do you want to take your number with you to this other network?  I r do you want a new number from that other network? You don’t you haven’t got a call/chat with customer services to take your number or to give notice to leave  you just need to text PAC to 65075 and then give the pac code to the other network to keep your number or If you don’t want to keep your number you just need to text STAC to 75075 I’ll give that code to the other network terminate your contract with EE.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Yes I want to take the number with me to another network. However I thought I have to give 30 days notice in order to cancel the contract. Or does this not matter as long as I request the pac and move the number to another network before the contract end date?

Hi @gemz89.

If you were to give the PAC to another network, this would automatically terminate your contract with EE.

Make sure you're in the period where it's free to cancel or your could be charged for cancelling early.

Hi,

Yes I am in a period where I can cancel for free as the contract ends next week. I talked to someone on the live chat today and they weren't very clear about whether I needed to provide 30 days notice but I am assuming when I do switch sometime this week the contract ends automatically therefore I wouldn't need to provide 30 days notice?

Hi there @gemz89

Thanks for coming back to us.

Once you've switched to the other network, your service with EE will be terminated and we'll stop billing you from that date.

Your final bill will then contain any outstanding charges to pay.

Leanne.
