Hi there, we have EE fibre but we always get a slower wifi speed downstairs in the living room, its not ultra slow but i was seeing if i could make it any better.

my EE router is in my bedroom behind my pc as its connected to my pc via ethernet.

I have a old sky router which we had before EE is there a way to connect this to the home network and have this sky router in the living room so the wifi is better there?

Or is it too complicated?

@marklola82  first you want to try and re-locate the router because it could be getting electronic interference from your PC.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I have no trouble siting any of my routers adjacent to my PCs & monitor.

@XRaySpeX  Yes but does @marklola82  because that’s not your router/pc/home.  Not everyone will have the same experience as you.

i tried moving it away from my pc to other side of my bedroom  but it made no difference

i couldnt have the router there either way as no plug socket and had to use a extension and use a long ethernet cable...but it made no difference

@marklola82   It’s worth the try as you never known.  I take it the WiFi speed is ok in the room the router is in ?

i tried it but it did not make the signal better in the living room downstairs.

yes its perfect in my bedroom with the pc though that is using the ethernet, but wifi on my phone in bedroom is on full.

the main area that is a issue in the living room is 1 side of the room where my mothers chair is she is always complaining about it and when i go there with my phone the wifi signal drops

its the smart hub that came with it, dark grey and with 2 light bars on the front
