Samsung galaxy fold z release

I have pre ordered the fold z and had conflicting information from EE, such as the 18,21 September and we have no date so no one should be giving out a date is what I have been told.

Do we have a confirmed ee release date as to when I will get my product

Thanks

Two things to take away I guess.

1 - don't pre-order from EE if you want the device in launch or around it.

2 - We can now hope for early October, maybe end of month if we get lucky?

I won't pre order again - I guess it's just a waiting game for most of us
and then suddenly a random text from DPD will pop up!

I'm gutted like all you guys and my fingers are crossed for all of us to
receive something more then just "no stock" "We don't know"

I'm gonna try take my mind off of it.... Somehow... 😂

But like always if I find anything out I'll let you all know!

I spoke to a manager today who seemed surprised people were receiving txts from DPD, as he was told they've had no stock in they're still awaiting it.

He wished them well with their new phones, and hopes they do receive them when they have been told they will and they're not let down any further.

This doesn't solve mine or anybody else's problem but i guess its a touch of sincerity??

I will not pre-order again, and ive told them as soon as my lines are due for their upgrade dates, i will cancel them.

I wish everyone who has been told they are receiving their phones tomorrow or the next day that they are happy with them and that it was worth all this hassle.

For the rest of us still waiting, i hope we can have just a little more patience (grinding teeth) and hope that we will get the phones before the end of this year 😉

😅🤣😂

Fingers cross for us all

I usually do my upgrades or purchases in person or over the phone as I generally can negotiate the phone cost. E.g. for the fold 2 there was a cost for the phone with the tarrif I went with and the sales person on the phone was able to waive it.

Secondly here are the messages I received.  So hoping the phone should be with me for tomorrow. Not sure of they come up on here

Not holding out much hope.  I spoke to EE and they didn't seem to know what was up or going on and said they would be suprised if orders are going out for delivery tomorrow so don't know who to believe.

I upgraded and paid on the day of release so can't see why i wouldn't be in the first batch but nothing surprises me.

On a side note all those that ordered through Samsung have been give a £50 gift voucher and a free Galaxy Buds for the delay and an email to confirm that... what's the betting we get absolutely nothing from EE...   I'll eat my words if we do but I very much doubt it.

unlikely to get anything from EE, only hope is Samsung offer it to anyone who purchased anywhere.

Tech Radar are reporting the delay to the Fold 2.

https://www.techradar.com/uk/news/confirmed-some-samsung-galaxy-z-fold-2-pre-orders-have-been-delaye...

They quote Samsung as saying the following...

“Due to delays in shipment, a number of customers who pre-ordered the new Galaxy Z Fold2 will receive their device later than expected. We have contacted all customers affected directly, and are working with our distribution team to get these to them as soon as possible.”

Well... nice of EE to have contacted their own customers(!) to let us know.

Even though the delay may not be EE's fault, why oh why do EE feel the need to stay silent? Are EE hoping that by burying their heads in the sand that will somehow keep us customers happy?

EE's lack of communication for a contract value worth over £2400 from me. EE are jokers.

Honestly I may just cancel if it's going to super delayed, I'll just take my chances with ordering later from Samsung.

You may regret it if you cancel.

I had the fold one and believe me going back to a phone is not the same. I am prepared to wait even if it very frustrating.

So think carefully or contact samsung first and find out where you stand in getting a fold before just cancelling with EE.
