This may be relevant: Dialing 150 for Balance no longer works for me on two payg phones in the UK. Alternative number please.

Hi @Sparkyz
It's really strange that this has stopped working, do you get an error message at all?
Also, do you have credit when trying to call?
Thanks
Chris

Both phones have some credit and work OK except 150 no longer gives a Balance voice message and text..
Instead a voice message states that the number is not available on this network.

Thanks @Sparkyz
You should be able to text BALANCE to 150 to get this information. Could you give that a go?
Thanks

Thanks Chris
Texting BALANCE to 150 works, but on payg is charged (unlike phoning 150, when it worked)
One of the two phones is registered with MyEE, so I can see the balance there. I could register the second phone separately, but a free 150 balance function would be nice.

When you're on Pay as you go we charge 25p per call to 150, so the text would be cheaper.
Thanks

My great aunt is 90 has is having this same issue with her PAYG EE phone. It happened all of a sudden. She can't call 150 and text doesn't work either. She has no other way of accessing her balance as she does not have a computer. Also, when she makes outbound calls is says the call is diverting no matter what number she calls, could this be related? Would replacing the sim card with a new one help?

Hi @Shaz55
I hope you're well and having a nice weekend, other than this issue of course.
When your aunt sends the texts, does she get an error or does it just not send?
Thanks

Hi Chris
Sorry apparently texting 150 for balance does work, but this is still not ideal as my Aunt doesn't know how to text and will have to rely on us to do this for her when we visit. So being able to call 150 would be the easiest for her.
Thanks
Sharon
