Disgusting Price Increase!

I've just had the email that you are now cashing in on the cost of living crisis by smashing a massive 14.4 % increase on my bill.

Its absolutely disgusting, at a time when people are struggling to eat and heat their homes you decide to hit us with that ridiculous increase, not just a few % you up it by 14.4%

Its sick and I'll never be using EE again when this contract ends, I'll also be going out of my way to warn other people from using you, there's absolutely no justification in a hike like that, its pure greed and you should be ashamed.

You're a disgrace!

Don't bother with the ombudsman, just had a case with them against EE and it went in EE 's favour surprisingly not ...

Don’t EE have to pay the Ombudsman a fee for every complaint they investigate?

Completely agree. Disgrace. People are struggling enough and a 14.4% increase!? Greater than inflation. CPI tsch. Just because the CPI says so, doesn't mean you have to do it.  Bet your still in profit even now. How about doing something like lowering your profit margin? Your surely on a 60% at least? We'll be looking elsewhere when our renewal comes up. Disgusting!

I work in the emergency services. I was given a 2% payrise, which equated to £1,900 extra a year. What they didn't tell us and kept quiet about is we are now suddenly working more days spread across the year, every so often we'll work an extra day more than we used to, when you add up all these extra days for the extra £1,900 a year actually it's not a pay rise at all!

Companies hiking their prices up by nearly 15% in one foul swoop when people are struggling and cutting back on even basics such as heating, water usage, to justify it with "further investment" into the network is absurd. We all know the reality is that only a % of the extra revenue generated by the price hike will go onto investment in infrastructure, the remainder will go towards their financial operating profit margin....I'm a very reasonable and patient person, and I honestly wouldn't have minded perhaps a 5-7% increase, but when it's nearly 15% it's outrageous. More money year on year for the same service.

The just shy of 15% price hike means my MONTHLY bill will increase by over £50 as of March. Fantastic.

@Cookyweb   There are 2 MVNO networks that are not putting up prices ( at the moment) but both say they will not rule out increasing prices at some point during contract period.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@Careystreeter   EE gave unlimited data to NHS workers and any customer that had a 4/5G cellular router and had children at home so they could learn.     And like you any EE staff who could work from home did the rest didn’t go to work that includes store staff.
Why do you think when calling customer services it to awhile to actually get through.

And you’re comparing an infrastructure company to individual people.   Show me one infrastructure company that made a loss in revenue in that period.

I must admit that as soon as I can, I am terminating several contracts with EE.

The price increase across my accounts represents an extra £60/month - or £720/year.  That's like spending for an entire separate line, except you're not getting anything for it (or anything extra). I will have to re-budget significantly to accommodate this increase, and it will also mean that I will be spending significantly less with EE over the next couple of years - if at all.

It’s great to see so many people standing up to this disgusting greed, let’s hope we can do enough damage and hit them hard, pure scum bags through and through

  • There is no bill payment increase in the first 12 months of the contract we have made with the relevant person in accordance with the law, and the price increase you demand by justifying inflation is not in accordance with the law and is against consumer protection laws. It is out of the question for me to make an extra payment, I would like to inform you that if there is any deduction from my bank account other than the contract, I will take legal action against you by the rights granted to me by the law.

Hi @Resat,

Welcome to the EE Community.

Our price changes will be going ahead from 31st March. We’ve been upfront about our price changes when customers agreed to their contract, so customers always know where they stand. We are contacting customers directly about how the changes will affect them.
