I've just had the email that you are now cashing in on the cost of living crisis by smashing a massive 14.4 % increase on my bill.
Its absolutely disgusting, at a time when people are struggling to eat and heat their homes you decide to hit us with that ridiculous increase, not just a few % you up it by 14.4%
Its sick and I'll never be using EE again when this contract ends, I'll also be going out of my way to warn other people from using you, there's absolutely no justification in a hike like that, its pure greed and you should be ashamed.
You're a disgrace!

That honestly is sick! one month into presumably a 24 month contract where you just agreed to pay x and they whack it up straight away by almost 15%, its just disgusting.
The EE support cheerleaders will be out singing "well you signed up for it" yawn yawn yawn but to even attempt to defend that is just ridiculous.

@Mld2072 , this happens every year, it is the RPI/CPI, it was in your contract, and all networks are doing the same, going up by 14.4% this year. It has been mentioned on the Martin Lewis show, it is not just EE but all of them and the show this week also mentioned that Virgin Media and Sky are putting their prices up.
By the way this is not customer service, but a public forum, no account access here, we are all subject to the increase.

You will have the same problem every year as all networks work on the same principal and put their prices up every year.

I had only just changed contracts to save money. If I had known that I was going to be paying more for a sim card than I was already paying for a phone and tablet I would not have bothered. That most certainly wasn't in the terms and conditions. Most other companies charge far less for packages anyway so even if they did increase prices every year It still wouldn't be as much as EE have now hiked prices. How on earth can you justify charging substantially more for less service? By cancelling my tablet and reducing my data plan I expected to pay less, not more than I paid for a tablet AND a more expensive phone contract. I would have gone elsewhere if I had known this would be the result of trying to save money. Conveniently they didn't send the letter out until after the 14 day cooling off period. That's pretty shabby however you look at it. I would have cancelled straight away if the letter had arrived sooner. Now I'm trapped with an extortionate exit fee. Fee for what? What exactly does me leaving actually cost them?

@Mld2072 , all networks are increasing by 14.4%, I know this as I watch the Martin Lewis show.

I know this too. But that's not the point I'm making. The underhanded way they have gone about it is my point. Like I said, other networks are already offering cheaper plans even with the increase.

What a rip off you choose to increase the monthly rental by 14.4%. How can you justify this this is one customer you will be losing as my contract run out.

Hi @LK1964
Many providers will change their prices at any time during customers’ contracts with them. We have been upfront about our price changes when customers agreed to their contract, and we are using CPI as a measure for these increases.
Our customers rely on us for connectivity more than ever, it’s crucial we continue to invest in our networks, services and the latest technology.
