Disgusting Price Increase!

I've just had the email that you are now cashing in on the cost of living crisis by smashing a massive 14.4 % increase on my bill.

Its absolutely disgusting, at a time when people are struggling to eat and heat their homes you decide to hit us with that ridiculous increase, not just a few % you up it by 14.4%

Its sick and I'll never be using EE again when this contract ends, I'll also be going out of my way to warn other people from using you, there's absolutely no justification in a hike like that, its pure greed and you should be ashamed.

You're a disgrace!

I just want to know what the justification is for putting the part of my plan up that pays my devices, beyond "it's written in your contract". Unlike with the Energy Suppliers where we're all paying the same, we do have options with mobile phone contracts - I'm just giving EE the chance to come up with a more human response. I certainly won't be upgrading with them and I'll be considering SIM only options carefully. Apparently, if you already have a device, Giff Gaff are very good.

Why as my monthly bill gone up when I'm on a contract. I will be leaving EE in November after been with them for many year. In the financial situation that we are in EE would look that this and rethink!! They will lose customers and go to more cheaper contracts.

Giff Gaff have announced all over Twitter etc that in light of the cost of living crisis they have frozen all prices until the end of the year, this is to help their customers and give them peace of mind.

So what does that say about the likes of EE?

@Alicia28  EE isn’t the only network increasing prices, O2 have put 17+ percent on their current contract customers.

Perhaps a read of THIS

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I have just been advised by letter that the two phones I have with EE are going up by a total £11.97 per month - 14.4%! Absolutely disgusting - EE have not even tried to justify the increase except that basically because everything else is going up then so are we! As soon as I can get out of this contract I will.

Mine has gone up too and with no reason except that it is n line with CPI inflation .... not good. I cannot wait to leave myself

This is the nature of the complaint I’ve logged with EE. They are not having to repurchase devices from suppliers, so there is zero inflation cost impact on EE in regards to these. The price rise should only apply to the network part of the contract.

I agree a mobile phone is optional. However like most people I took out my contracts based on affordability and now due to the T&Cs I am apparently stuck with an increase that is well above the cost of living increase - if that is not greed I do not know what is!

You are not up front about your prices and no amount of saying you are changes that. You hide the prices in small print or send a screen sharing text telling people to just click approve without giving them chance to read it. I have equally been stung and conveniently you wait until AFTER the 14 day cooling off period to send the letter telling me you are now going to charge me more for a sim card than I was paying for a phone AND a tablet. This is a shabby way to treat customers who have been with EE a decade.

You are not up front about your prices and no amount of saying you are changes that. You hide the prices in small print or send a screen sharing text telling people to just click approve without giving them chance to read it. Two weeks ago I cancelled my tablet and changed my phone contract to reduce my bill to £23 per month. I now receive a letter telling me you are now going to charge me more just for a sim card then I was previously paying for a phone and tablet. How can you possibly justify this? I have now been stung and conveniently you wait until AFTER the 14 day cooling off period to send the letter telling me you are now going to charge me more for a sim card than I was paying for a phone AND a tablet. This is a shabby way to treat customers who have been with EE a decade. When I contacted you trying to reduce my bills do you honestly think I would have agreed to this contract if I knew it was going to cost substantially MORE than I was already paying?
