Broadband box is broken

Hi My EE box for the Internet is showing a red light not sure why the top it is showing green then my ee Internet is showing red then my next one down is showing nothing then the last one down is showing green is there anything I can do to fix it

Welcome to EE's Home Broadband Forum.

 

The router is not broken. It's just that there's no BB connection. Have you tried rebooting it or even factory resetting it?

 

Have you just joined EE BB or were you already with EE BB? How long has this been happening?

What does it say after you log into the router:

  • For a BrightBox: in the Internet section on the initial Status page or
  • For a Smart Hub: on the Advanced Settings / Broadband / Internet page?

Obscure your names & any numbers in the BB Username but post the 1st 2 parts of the IP addy. This will tell us at which stage EE have got to.

Does the landline phone work? Do you get a dial tone? Does it announce your correct no. when you dial 1470 17070?

Where is the factory settings

Push a pin in the Reset hole at the back for about 10 secs until the lights start flashing.

There is no Internet and no broadband still coming up as red light on my broadband how do I get the red light off

I hope you're well and having a nice day, other than this issue of course.

 

I use my home broadband for everything so totally get the importance of a fast and reliable connection. 

 

We have a great How Can I Fix My Home Broadband Connection guide that's full of tips that may help with this. 

 

However I know you said you've already tried a lot, so the next step may be to have our experts take a look. If you have an EE mobile you can text HELP followed by your landline number to 60071 to get the ball rolling.
