Minor issue but recently or TV pro box (branded BT on the outside) stopped having an aqua coloured on light around the on button (a BT logo). It is now a kind of purpley-white colour. I've posted off the box and restarted, but no change.
Had anyone else seen this, is this a software glitch, or do I just assume the LED(s) are no longer 100% functioning?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

It's a software glitch in a recent update - the fix is included in the next release. It has no other impact, so nothing to worry about.

Thanks, @DarrenDev. Just thought it was odd. I'll sit back and wait to be bathed in the southing aqua glow again!

Still purple after latest update

@LDS23 you appear to have posted from a Plusnet broadband line, and your email address isn't mapped to any BT or EE accounts. Your TV Box would therefore run the default version of the operating system, rather than be branded for BT or EE. I'm not sure how you even have a TV Box though, as Plusnet don't offer a TV service?

I only use my EE TV Box to record terrestrial digital tv. The power light was always aqua until 2 updates ago. You said it would correct at next update but it didn't.

The colour of the light is determined by the broadband connection it's connected to. If you don't have a BT broadband or EE broadband connection then you shouldn't have a TV Box Pro - they're only for subscribers.

You are wrong. You can purchase a box and use it to just watch and or record terrestrial digital tv, ( You View) as I do.

I understand why you may believe this to be true, however the TV Box Pro has never been sold by BT or EE, and those sold online are from unauthorised sources. They remain the property of BT/EE at all times.
