Calls showing old number while texts display the new

So I moved a family members sim from Plusnet to EE and kept their old number.It now calls and displays as it should with the old number but text messages say the new sim.I have tried the basic things I've see in forums.Any help appreciated.

New sim not working yet

Got a new sim for my mums iPhone as ditched from a Samsung so ordered a sim to fit the iPhone. Activated with a code yesterday morning and she still can’t make calls and the EE sign hasn’t came up.
