Transferring number

Anyone know why my PAC code is working. I contacted O2 and received a Pac code 5 days ago so it is still valid however doesn't work

I’m a new customer waiting for my old number to be transferred how long does this tske it’s been 24 hrs so far   

Having exactly the same trouble, someone told me to go to settings and reselect my service provider!I'm going to try this.
