My sim isn’t working and my phone is saying no service and I can’t ring or call anyone but when I turn the phone off it is asking for a sim pin which I don’t know what mine is

My daughter has had issues with her iPhone 15 and I’m assuming Apple has wiped the season during reset , although she has a physical sim inserted she still can’t get any service , , any help would be appreciated
