If you are waiting for a phone being delivered check your parcel immeadiately.
Today I had a new Iphone 15 Pro Max delivered this afternoon by DPD and upon opening the box and powering it up I have discovered it is a counterfeit chinese phone running android. I've reported it and am now also stuck in limbo like the previous poster awaiting a call tomorrow from ee pending a further investigation.
At first appearance the fake looks very similar to a real iPhone (identical box, size, colour) however the camera module on the back is different and upon powering up it becomes obvious that it is running a skinned version of android made to lool like ios.
Unfortunately I had fitted the enclosed SIM card and manually logged into my apple account during the (rather convincing) setup screens o have now had to reset all my credentials just in case. This is massively stressful.

Hi @Steve710.
I understand how frustrating this must be.
When you have a moment please give us another call so this can be escalated to the relevant team.
Alternatively, you can complete a complaints form online and someone will get back to you.

I ordered an iphone 13 as a gift, my son opened gift three weeks later to discover the phone wont charge or boot up. Then he checked back of box and it says it was a 15. He knows iphones well so knew something was wrong. Luckily we had not put sim card in the phone. Just contacted EE to be told its a fake and an investigation will be done and it might be rejected! But they can sort something else out. So that sounds like they are rejecting cases automatically rather than finding out where the real issue is. So reading these comments here suggests its not an isolated incident but the supply chain from EE has a real issue. I am paying for the phone already (did it as a credit agreement) and my son has nothing for his birthday. Delivery was sent to my work address and I had to give courier a code on delivery. I would suggest EE have a serious issue here and customers are at the mercy of fraud. Why do they not arrange for customers to pick phones up from shops - that way staff can make sure the phones aren't fake before some unsuspecting customer gets conned. If this is not sorted I will be cancelling three mobile contracts and my broadband service as well. Then claiming a cashback on my card for the deposit i paid and speaking to the finance team as well.

Good morning @Martin242424.
You've definitely made the right call in contacting our team about this.
Once this is raised with our supply chain they'll look into the details of the order, including the tracking from the courier, and advise you from there on how to move forwards.
Peter
