My husband has had an Apple Iphone 16 delivered by DPD. We both didnt want the Iphone and agreed with, what we thought, was EE correspondance, to return the Iphone. So We got a message on Whats app showing a barcode to hand over to the post office, to print out a label to place on our returns parcel. We discovered afterwards that it was a fake address, a scamster, that we have sent the parcel to instead of EE. We were supposed to send this iphone 16 to EE, instead the iphone is getting sent to some scammer in Birmingham. I am really stressed out over this and worried sick about it. What do i do? The police is coming round to see us on Wednesday, today is Tuesday. Can anyone help us on this situation???

Did you have any luck? 🙂 same thing has happened to my husband and EE didn’t uphold the complaint and basically suggested he must have swapped the phone himself?! They didn’t even look into DPD only the image of it being delivered but it wasn’t obvious at the time the package had been tampered with. £2500 to pay for a 24 month contract without a phone. 😩

@Lvathompson not the same thing at all, the OP got an iPhone but didn’t return it back to EE they fell for what’s app message and returned it to the scammers address.
You didn’t receive a genuine iPhone as the item got swapped out in shipping for a fake.

Oh I see I judged based on the name of the post. Thanks

Was this ever resolved? I ordered a Google pixel 10 XL and I've recieved a 1tb iPhone max 17 pro. Luckily I filmed myself opening the package but I have my suspicions it's a fake, EE were shocked I'd be sent such a high end phone as a mistake. I haven't opened the handset due to it not being what I ordered. I really hope it's resolved they are calling me in a few days

No unfortunately not. It’s a joke, still stuck paying for it! They just kept saying they sent it and they believe DPD delivered it. They wouldn’t accept the idea that DPD tampered with it, despite me sending them images of cuts in the packaging. We didn’t notice these until after we opened the bag. I would only now ever get a new phone from in a shop rather than have it posted. We hate EE so much now!!

O wow I am shocked that they didn't help you. I'm calling them back today and asking them to block the Google phone they supposedly sent to me. Only reason I ordered online was due to convenience. I already have a crime number and it sounds like this scam has been going on before 2023
