Phone not working in South Africa

Hi folks, i am in South Africa and cannot make a call or text.  I bought. 120 mins add on for the area before i left the UK.  I can get phone reception/network but it just beeps and cuts  off.  Anyone had this or has advise?many thanks

Unable to use phone in Tenerife

Hi. I have an ee contract and have done for over 10 years. For the first time I am unable to use my phone abroad. Ii cannot contact ee as I can't use my phone. Prior to coming I sent a text to 150 and got a reply that I can use for phone for free

I am travelling to Bali in April, how can I use my phone without it costing an arm and a leg? Or is it easier to buy an EE sim and put it in another phone?
