Fed being told to call or txt to fix roaming how can u possibly do this if ur sim is not getting recognised on network I have had 3 trips abroad now with no mobile  thinking of going to another network never had this problem except EE😡

You're right - taking your phone abroad without roaming being enabled causes a catch-22 situation.

You can contact EE CS either from another phone, or +44 800 0798586 from a web-calling app such as Skype.

How can u use Skype with no network ? Also not going to run someone else's phone bill up so there is no solution till u get home been given money back from EE everytime but felt worried having no contact with homev

@lindajoanne2003 , before you go abroad, make sure that you have roaming set up on your account, then you will not have this problem. 

Since you have made three trips abroad, after the first one, why when you went abroad again did you not think to set roaming up? Once it has been enabled on your account, unless you disable it, it should always be enabled, then you would not have this problem.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
