No connection

Am over in Ireland, phone has said it was transferred to eir network, which is Irish EE, however 4g or 5g isn’t working, takes me straight to 3G which doesn’t allow me any connectivity unless I am connected to the Wi-Fi? Not sure how to fix this?

We are on holiday and neither phone will call out. All apps working texting etc but phone calls won’t call out can anyone help with this please
