No network found in Israel

I organised a travel pass but when I landed in Israel no network has come up and still hasn’t. I got no texts upon landing. I’ve turned off and on, done software updates, made sure roaming in etc but still no network. Taken off spend cap too.

I connected to WiFi to text 150 to EE but it’s not delivering. My son who has same phone and EE contract his roaming is fine and network found.
please advise urgently.

Roaming  worked fine in Spain a few weeks ago.

@Maz12341 : As you are on contract, did you activate roaming on your EE a/c before you left UK by texting ROAMING to 150? Having a roaming billing add-on doesn't of itself activate roaming on your a/c.

Your son musta done so for his. While in Spain you musta had EU roaming activated but not worldwide.

Often just rebooting the phone is the simple remedy. Also try selecting a network manually rather than auto. Otherwise you need to call CS to get your roaming activated. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. on Skype over WiFi. It should be free.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Yes on contract

and I spoke to CS on the day leaving and set it all up. But since arriving in Israel it won’t let me text 150 to EE even over WiFi!  So can’t text ROAM to them.
Won’t let me call over WiFi either

Katie

Thanks for getting back to me @Maz12341

I would recommend getting in touch with our customer care team by either calling +44 7953 966 150 from another handset or by using our live chat option.

Alternatively, you can also use Skype as advised by @XRaySpeX

The team will be able to ensure everything is set correctly on your account.

Katie

I tried live chat but then it stopped me replying so can’t continue conversation and it won’t refresh or allow me to start another conversation.

Im

connected to WiFi and internet working do no idea why live chat frozen.

honestly this is driving me mad. if I call from sons handset it’s more than £2 a minute
