Two factor authentication Abroad

I am trying use 2 factor authentication to log onto something but I cannot receive texts or calls abroad. How do I fix this. When I try to call helpline abroad the call fails to go through

Does anyone know…… if I buy the Roam Abroad Pass for a recurring monthly fee, to enable use of my UK package, can I use this in the Caribbean Islands e.g.  Grenada, St Lucia, etc….    Thanks Tracey
