Direct Debit Date

Good Morning,
I seen on my app that my Direct Debit bill for this month was higher than expected.
I read why, and apparently it’s because I’m now paying my Direct Debit on the 4th of each month, and not the 1st as I’d originally set up.
Perplexed, as I didn’t get any notice about this, I went back to the options to change the direct debit date - and the first was the only option that I could not select 😂
Literally the other 30 days available, just not the first as I selected.
I asked support but they couldn’t change it either, so I have a ticket in.
Has anyone else’s billing date changed without notice?
Is anyone still on the 1st for billing (especially those on the new 1.6Gbts broadband package)?
I just don’t understand how they can change the date I selected to another, change me for the privilege, and then not let me change it back 😂😭

Could it not be that the first of this month is a Saturday, so would have to be on a working day. We would have no idea, but is it so tragic that the date has changed to the 4th of the month?
