Wifi controls not available in EE App.

I recently renewed my BT broadband deal and switched to EE. Unfortunately whilst I was perfectly able to utilise Parental Controls in the BT App the EE App just doesn't work, when I select Wifi Controls it simply gives me a message 'We can't load this information'.

At present not capability to control Wifi access, I have raised a complaint but may as well have complained to my dog to be honest. No communication or updates. I did speak to helpdesk but they stated its a known issue that they are looking to fix.

With all of the technical expertise available to BT/EE I'm very surprised that it is not fixed, I can only assume that they are not prioritising doing so. Pretty appalling really, customer service very poor.

Try updating your ee app thats what worked for me

I have just resorted to switching the router off every night at 10pm and turning it back on at 8am

@MichelleF1 Only problem in doing that is you may miss out on any upgrades to your Router as normally sent in the early hours to minimise disruption to user's and not good if you are still on the older copper lines.

I've  been having the same issue since switch from BT to EE. Any news on a fix for android app. Only workaround I've found is deleting the app data cache then sign in and re connect the router to the app and you get 1 go at applying your settings

Hi

its now October and I’ve tried and failed to turn the WiFi off tonight on my sons PC. So came on here and found this issue has been happening for months!! I’m new to EE this month and this is awful.
Has anyone had any luck?

After almost YEAR with 1.6 Gbps Busiest Broadband from EE, I managed to have WifiControl or WifiEnhancer to work for good 2-3 weeks max..

Be fair, I ditch originally supplied SmartHub Plus under the bed to storge pretty quickly, and go for my own TP-Link Omada setup, until approx 2 weeks ago, when I pushed them to send me new WiFi7 Smarthub Pro, which it's now in operation...

First 3 days, no WifiControl, or WifiEnhancer was working, then approx week it was fine, and now, nothing on the APP is working correctly at all :)))

Router itself it's in fuct not great, be fair...I have allowed at a moment only 6 Ghz channel, which giving me impressive FULL speed to my Samsung Galaxy 24U as well as Tab S9U, maxing full line potential.

but other than that, 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz it's back on TP-Link part of my home network...

Why? Smart channe; ALWAYS ending up on Channel 100. which it's in fact heavily congested due span of SmartHub Plus devices recently poping up at neighbours apartments, and top of it, ignore my own Ch 128(114) 160 Mhz channel on TP-Link and clashing into it.

If at some amazing moment goes away from it, it settle on Ch 36, which it's even more congested (approx 21 other networks span on it all way from neighbours, some of them 80 Mhz wide, some of them 160 Mhz wide and making it very unusable, whilst SHPro ending up with big lags, due interference.

One of ten, it defaulting on channel 149, which it's in fact completely free, but after 5 minut, just runaway back to Ch 100...

Nope, sorry, I love my choice of channels, and therefore, for now, purpose of new router will be only 6 Ghz Wifi, which when I need, manually switch over...

And obviously, closed options or non existent options to tweak own setup are dreadfull experience, when you coming from Omada enviroment.. Yeah I know, at a moment I have double NAT, no problem, can live wirh i, before will upgrade my Omada AP to EAP773 next month to have 6 Ghz there as well
