Tado Internet Bridge won't connect to EE Router

Hi All.

I've just changed my internet provider to EE. I was struggling to connect the Tado Internet Bridge to the EE Router i.e. No power, No LED's lite on the bridge.

I read other people's suggestions & ordered a TP-Link LS1005G 5 port switch from EE £11.

It took a couple of days to arrive. I quickly connected it to the router and power supply however, it didn't work....arrggghhh !

I then noticed a USB port on the rear of the EE Router...... would this provide enough power to complete the circuit ?

I disconnected the TP-Link LS1005G 5 port switch and connected the Tado Internet Bridge directly to the EE Router USB port and it worked straight away.

Blimey.... what a faff, heating back online YAY !

Hope this is of some use to you.

@Russ_EE_2025 : Well, it wasn't gonna power up by Ethernet or WiFi alone. So you had to find the only powered outlet of the router. Either that or plug it in the mains.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

XraySpex - The Tado Internet Bridge was connected to the mains via the adapter..... it wasn't working..... Hence why I suggested using the USB on the router.
