Smart Hub Plus and Sony Google TV

I've started using the new Smart Hub Plus after migrating from BT to EE but my Sony Google TV keeps losing WiFi connection when in standby, all is fine if I use the BT SH2.

Any suggestions or is this a known bug because I've read many users having issues with WiFi disconnecting devices?

@C0RN1SHMAN Is it only the TV that is struggling with the EE router in wi-fi wireless mode? The default settings of the EE router are not the same as the older BT SH2, and you may have to go into the router settings to drop back the mode, if you wish to do so, then http://192.168.1.254 will get you there, details you require are all on the back card, rear of the router and check the wireless mode, default is wpa3 you may have to drop back if its set as this to wpa2-personal, would start with that first. HTH

It's also happening on Ethernet but only seems to be the TV.

I've allocated a fixed IP Address for the TV and placed it in DMZ but this also hasn't helped.

My router seems to be already set as WPA2-Personal and I've also set it to WiFi 6 Compatibility without success.

@C0RN1SHMAN Would not think DMZ will be of any help and personally would take it out of there, if also happening on ethernet and the fixed ip did you also try to make sure of what the range you used in the TV with regards to EE and if so have the DHCP set to static for that reserve, also any FW update available for the TV to download, Network re-connections i know on ethernet is around 20 seconds, and think wi-fi is about the same, what method do you use to clear the fault, is it as simple as TV power off, then back on?

Turning on the TV on manually seems to solve the issue but once the TV is in standby again for around 30minutes or longer it stops working. It seems to be happening to my Smart Bulbs also.

@C0RN1SHMAN Looks like you need to look at the EE Router to find out what is going on, goto My Network, change the filter to show disconnected, and set that option, will show the devices that are offline, once the TV gets into that position, then try your normal mode for TV on (NOT THE MANUAL as you know that recovers) and see if it jumps out too the show connected devices section, (wi-fi and network cable takes around 20 seconds to recover) does seem to be the EE router thing so you may have to refresh the page to show. There is nothing that can be changed in the router unless you have tried all your various wireless mode/security type combinations. If it is a router issue and you feel it is, then EE CS Technical support to report, can see possibly why the TV would do it, i think i would describe as after time goes into low power mode, DEEP sleep and network does not recover, but you may have to convince, the BT ok may just not cut it and they will blame the TV, my sony works A ok, it does go to deep sleep, but always seems to recover fine (wireless connected). Smart bulbs not a clue do not use  do they all do it, or is it only one's further away from the router that may give you idea, possible signal strength on i would think the 2.4ghz band....

I have just the same problem

I have a Samsung smart TV, connected directly to the router through an Ethernet cable

When the TV is in standby mode it loses its connection. On turning the TV on, it takes 20-30 seconds or so to reestablish the connection

This did NOT happen previously with an EE router - the problem is only now I have the new SmartHub which was installed when I upgraded to full fibre
