hello
I’ve recently had EE Full Fibre 300 installed and I’m seeing some very odd speed behaviour.
Immediately after restarting the Smart Hub 6 Plus router I can get around 300 Mbps, but after a few minutes the speed drops to roughly 20–30 Mbps on most tests.
So far I’ve found:
My contract is Full Fibre 300 Premium, with 300 Mbps download, 50 Mbps upload and a 250 Mbps speed guarantee to the hub.
The most unusual part is that a router restart restores speeds to around 300 Mbps, but only for a few minutes before they fall back to around 20–30 Mbps.
Has anyone seen similar behaviour on EE Full Fibre, particularly where some BT/Ookla servers remain fast but general internet throughput is much lower?
I’m trying to work out whether this points to a provisioning, routing, backhaul or Smart Hub issue before raising it formally with EE.

@jkstacey : If it is a neighbourhood issue, you could consult Check service in your area to see if any faults are being attended to in your local area. You may also Report a Problem there.
Have you reported your problem with your BB to EE? They can't do anything about it until you do. Text HELP to 66033 to get EE to test the line & see what needs doing.

@jkstacey Sister was displaying similar last night on the 6+ with a FF150 connection, she called me just before 9pm and she said it's been doing it for a couple weeks but she notices it more in the evening, just got her to do a five minute power off on the Hub, then only use the EE app version to see both and on the Mobile wifi connection only. It started off 150/30 for the hub with 145/30 on the mobile, but she is going to monitor it today to see how the connection is, any change will post to let you know.

@jkstacey Couple off samples as below Pics wise. Sister checked this morning on the latest FW posted back 3 months ago and seems to be holding ok with the 5 mins power off. She is wheelchair bound so little difficult but if the issue does not go away then i will make the Journey up to see what is going on.
These are my test's below as example for you.
Ookla via the windows app, data push.

It's likely the hub rather than anything else. A couple of things you can try to narrow it down:

@DoingItSideways Hard to say, set up my sister's in a specific way, only using the Main wifi, it is the SH32B version, been good for the last 23 Months really no reported issues from her at all, she has also confirmed on the latest that EE has posted apart from the confusion on that pinned post, and the 5 mins off / back on last night this morning it does appear to be holding fine, there has always been the potential for the 6+ in logging to slow down the hub think i got up to the 60 day's online no drops before EE pushed a FW update, that is why i got her to do just the HUB off, nothing else at all starter for 10 so i can see what is going on if anything. If it does happen again will get her to laptop check the connection and Ethernet connect to one off her wired points also, what she has is below and confirmed on that hub via her app.
FW: r4.26.3-R-1923144-PROD-83002 and the gui is at App version 3.14.5 12/06/2026 OP Posted
