Can anyone suggest a fix for the problem I am having with my broadband
I have approximately 10 devices connected to my My EE spart hub plus full fibre broadband. All connected perfectly to WiFi until approximately 2 weeks ago. Since then 2 TVs and a TP Link wireless extender continuously loose the WiFi connection, typically but not necessarily overnight. On the TVs it is either not possible to not possible to see the smart hub or the signal is so weak as to be useless. The extender indicates weak signal but improves to OK when it is moved close to the Hub. I can then and use the 2 Tvs.
Switching off / resetting the Smart Hub and restarting each morning provides a temporary solution. I have tried moving the smart hub to a better position and switching on Compatible WiFi and Guest WiFi and switching to them but the problem remains, the connection drops.
The TVs are Hisense, less than 2 years old, and a Sony which is 6 yrs old, I cannot recall the age of the WiFi, possibly 6yrs.
I have tried moving the Smart Hub into a more central position in the house but this does not make any difference.
What is noticeable is the fact that after restarting the smart hub I get a very strong EE WiFi signal in the home when it is normally very poor and unusable.
any suggestions appreciated.

Hi JimM11, Just checked, and yes I have the new FW release, I have made the changes and will have to wait now until tomorrow morning now to see if what the effect is. I will let you know either way. I now see that there is a lot on the subject in the EE Community. I am new to it today and still have to get to grips on how to use it fully so please excuse not providing any links but I am sure you will have seen many. Many thanks

@JRD75 Hope it all works out, don't hesitate to get back, the FW update may not be the whole problem but the Forum now needs to consider that very carefully. Yours is heading FW with what you posted so far as at least the starting point.🤞👍

Hi JimM11, Update. This morning, the TVs and extender were all connected to the Smart Hub, first time in over a week. Early days, but hoping it will stay that way. I switched to Channel 6 and haven't noticed any adverse effects on any of the other devices so far. If I do I will switch to another channel and try that. Its a shame the Smart function is no longer working, hopefully EE will come up with a more suitable solution.
If this Work Around doesn't work for other users, it may be worth them trying to borrow a WIFI extender (not EE), if they haven't got one and seeing if it will function properly and then connecting any errant devices through it. I guess a problem maybe the an newly purchased WIFI extender may not maintain connection either.
Once again many thanks for your help and the other contributors you referenced.

@JRD75 Until the FW writers find out the precise part off the issue that has been created as it is appearing to be only the 2.4Ghz band currently and everything else holding steady, bit of a waiting game, having the fixed channel takes the pressure off a little at least. Your premiss is correct push the other bands if you have a clash, you may not and be 100% fine, system's are designed to back off when a clash happens.
