had a text claiming to be from ee saying they are having issues with my bill is this something ee would do looks dodgy to me

Yes it's fraudulent and not from EE. 

 

Forward the text message (including phone number or company name) to 7726 free of charge, so EE can investigate.

 

Then delete the text.
