The password on my 4GEE router is not accepted when I try to log in to the 4GEE Router website. How do I get a new password?

You should be logging in to your MBB router at http://192.168.1.1 with username/pwd as "admin"/"admin" or with the password found under the battery cover.

I'm having the same issue with the device responding with incorrect password when we are definately entering the correct password!!

I contacted EE and they said to reset the device with a paperclip. I did that to reset it. They said I should be able to use my original password. I tried that and it says wrong password.

They then you can reset my password and to do that she said plug my device directly into my laptop / PC and go to the internet.  Enter the URL http://192.168.1.1 with username/pwd as "admin"/"admin" or with the password found under the battery cover. (Here lies the problem ... it worked brilliantly on Sunday when I was there with my phone ....... my wifi is at my caravan and a friend is staying in my caravan trying to use my wifi!!!)

She said she did that and again it says incorrect password!!!

I'll be back at my caravan on Friday but in the meantime .... please can anyoneeeeeee tell me how to get it working for her?

Hi @Wiganer64,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Are you having issues with the WiFi password or logging in to the admin interface?

Thanks

James

Hi, I don't seem to see a solution for this problem. I too am currently having the issue that my 4GEE router password is no longer being accepted. EE is asking me to login with the password which is found on the sticker, it's not accepting it. However, on Thursday when I first set the router up, it was ok and WiFi was working great. Please help!

@dpabmm26 : Factory reset the router by sticking a paper clip in the Reset hole near the SIM slot. Then you can login to it with the pwd written on the sticker.

Thanks for advice but it didn't work until I removed the SIM card then reinserted. All good now! 👍
