ipad stopped connecting to roaming EE device.

I have a few issues but firstly. I have an ipad air I have used with a roaming EE device for a couple of years then a box came up on my connection with the ipad, saying I think that it needed to change to a more updated equipment and gave some numbers as a suggestion. Now I cant log on using my ipad. I can still use the device with my lap top. Every time I log on with my lap top a box tells me I am not secure using this device.
Whats going on here this was my purpose for purchasing the device in the first place.
How can I use my ipad again ?

@Nancy9 What’s a roaming EE device ? as to my knowledge there is no such device.
