12 month smart contracts sim only

Afternoon

Sim only plan question here.

Does anybody know why EE have stopped doing 12 month contracts on Smart Plans? I tried to renew my contract over the phone (as my previous one had expired) and  was offered the opportunity to pay more than my current plan on a longer contract.

I need roaming, which has increased the cost on this new contract too.

Far from ideal and has made me consider whether I need to leave EE to get a better deal.

Anyone had experience of getting a 12 month plan recently?

thanks

Keith

If you're happy with your current SIM Only plan and it includes roaming why not just stay on that plan rather than upgrade.

Mobile contracts don't expire, they simply end the minimum term and then continue on a rolling monthly basis.
