Resolved! Change provider

I have change provider but want to keep the same number. I am now out of my ee contract. How do I transfer my number to my new provider

New phone

I, stupidly, dropped me phone down the toilet. Cutting a long story short, I have a new Sim card which doesn't fir into the new phone that a friend gave me. Can't upgrade, but can I extend my contact and get a new phone ? Thanks.
