Is there a way to remove the WiFi Disc stand so it can be wall mounted?

Hi @BWhite_

Thanks for coming to the community.

Do you have Smart WiFi?

If so, our Setting up Smart WiFi Help post, has full information for you 🙂

If not, which router do you have?

Thanks.

Leanne.

Hi @Leanne_T , the "Setting Up Smart WiFi Help post" does not answer this question. How do you take the legs off the unit so that you can wall-mount it? I also need to do this but can't find any information about it online.

I need to wall-mount this unit but cannot figure out how to take the legs off. There is a small grey rubber plug on the bottom, if you remove it, you can see through the gap that there is (what appears to be) a screw holding the legs on. But, you'd need to be able to pop open the case to do this...has anyone had any luck removing the legs/stand?

EE Community Support Team, please don't answer by linking to the "Setting up Smart WiFi Help post" as it does not say how to remove the legs/stand.

Hi there @thebenhanson

I have spoken to the relevant team and they have advised they are fixed in place and removing these may cause damage to the unit.

Leanne.

Surely this isn't right... there is a mounting point, suggesting that the disc can be mounted on a wall. But the feet make the bottom half of the disc stick out a huge way. Looks unsightly, and likely to fall off the wall.

Welcome to the community, @DutchieDo.

This is what we have been advised by our device specialists.

Chris

Hacksaw them off. Rawl plug a screw. Hang the disc. Staple the wire to neaten it up. Job done

it looks this is the only option. i am surprised that you cannot wall-mount this unit.

By chance, did you figure it out how to do it?
