I have just got a new Smart hub, can I just add 1 disc and place it somewhere else in the house- or does the 1st disc need to stay connected by an Ethernet cable, and then get a second disc?
Thanks

Thanks @Exematt
I have asked our Broadband team and they have advised, these will work with the Smart Router but you will need to keep one disc connected to the router via Ethernet to broadcast internet from the router to the other discs.
Hope this helps.
Leanne.

Does the 1st EE disc work disconnected or are they the same?
Thanks for looking.

Hi @Exematt
The EE Smart WiFi discs will only work with the EE Smart Router.
They will only require an ethernet connection as part of the initial setup, after this the disc can placed where you would like without an ethernet connection. The router can communicate directly with the disc.
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

So unlike the BT disc, I can have 1 wireless EE disc??

If you're using a BT Disc and an EE Disc, one of them would have to be connected through the ethernet cable, @Exematt.
If you're just using the EE discs, you can connect up to six wireless discs.
