Sony Xperia 1 III

I apologise in advance if I have posted in the wrong area, I've only just joined the community.

I can currently upgrade by trading my phone in or without next month.

I've seen the Sony Xperia 1 III is due out this month (the 19th I believe)

I can't find a lot of info on what networks will have it and was wondering if anybody here knows if EE will be getting this phone?

I cannot see much on the coming soon page on the EE site.

I hope you're well and having a nice weekend, are you up to much or is it a chilled one? 

The Song Sony Xperia 1 III looks like an awesome phone, the screen and refresh rate looks like being a real leader. 

At the moment we have no information about it, but if you jump onto our Coming Soon page you can sign up for updates, that way we'll let you know as soon as we do.

@PaintOfCoat  I can not find anything on the internet that even says what networks will sell the device.  It might just be a case of waiting for launch day and place an order.  EE do normally give a heads up but I wouldn’t expect to see anything until late next week at the earliest.   If I see anything from EE I’ll post a link on here for you.

I've had Samsung phones for years, however having also own a PS5 and the specs of the Xperia that's the next phone I'm looking at getting. Keeping my fingers crossed it comes onto EE

Yeah I could t find anything about networks when I was looking either, hopefully some news will come from it soon. I will keep an eye out

I was interested in the Xperia 1 ii last year - but EE didn't stock that at all and from the looks of their Sony presence - it's dwindling further this year (only 2 models left I think) - so I think there's 100% chance they won't be getting the 1 iii this year... I'm actually thinking of selling my Note 20 Ultra and paying the difference for the 1 iii - and then moving away from EE next year (better choice on other networks)... hope this helps...

@OneManDroid I'm hoping it might be different this year, my contract isn't up for another month yet, I was previously with O2 but their prices are ridiculous

I have seen the Sony 1 II available through EE even from third party which I wouldn't mind going that route if I couldn't get it directly. I have done that previously with no issues when I was with O2.

I'd like to stick with EE if possible.

I'd love to even buy outright but couldn't manage that so my only option is PAYM as I have a Note 10 and I wouldn't get anywhere near enough unfortunately. I'm holding out hope and will be having a thorough look around when the phone is released as more info on networks etc shall hopefully be available then for me to look into.

I've just had an email from Sony saying the 1 3 will be on sale from 20th August. Usually it goes to networks 2-4 weeks after. I don't agree with the other poster below who says ee don't carry Sony when every year they always have the top of the range model I know as I have had 4 Sony phones in a row from ee.  Usually ee only has 2 of the 3 available colours. However the coming soon tends to be focused on the plastic fantastic and broken screen isheep phone and Samsung latest. Fingers crossed the new Xperia will be here soon as I need 2 and I passed upgrade 4 months ago to wait.

@Beetlebum69 thankyou for this! I'm sure EE will get it as they tend to have a good range of phones, I've seen myself they've had previous sony phones too and I'd be surprised if they didn't stock it. I'm keeping an eye out every now and again, I can upgrade anytime but waiting 3 weeks until my contract has actually ended so hopefully its out by then 🤞🏻

I haven't had a sony phone since the Walkman ones and i usually have Samsung phones but really interested in this one

I have seen this phone available via Fonehouse on the EE Network would either one of you know if this means it'll be coming to EE directly as there is nothing on the EE website for it yet
